Arabs And White Men Are Cowards!

Written by
This essay points out that white Americans fear of alienating Muslims lest Muslims attack and kill them shows that they are a fearful and cowardly people and that their historic evil towards black folks is explained by their fearful and cowardly nature; it says that courageous persons love and serve social interest rather than abuse their fellow human beings.  Arabs And White Men Are Cowards!  Ozodi Osuji  Like many oppressed black folks I was motivated to understand the white man.  I read the literature on why he did what he did, such as enslave Africans and discriminate against black folks…
- However, with inflation dropping, the likelihood of ECB monetary assistance to support the economy may be rising. The unemployment rate across the eurozone in January rose to a fresh record high of 11.9% in January. However, headline figures continue to mask huge country level variations, and the goods news, especially in the context of declining inflation, is that the likelihood of further monetary assistance from the ECB may be rising.    The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate across the eurozone in January rose to an all-time high of 11.9%, up from 11.8% in the previous month. One year earlier, in…

Who are the Sunnis and the Shiites?

Written by
In 622 AD, Mohammed founded the first Islamic State in Medina, a city in Saudi Arabia, north of Mecca. There are two branches of the religion he founded. Sunnis and Shiites. In the Christian world, it is similar to Catholics and Protestants. About 70-90 percent of Muslims are Sunnis, while about 10-20 percent are Shiites.  Sunni is an Arabic word for followers-followers of Mohammed. Shiite came from Shiat-Ali “partisans of Ali”, after the Prophet's cousin and son in law whom they favored to be Caliph. In time, they became known as Shiite.  Though they have differences, they also have commonalities.…
Since a Brotherhood candidate, Mohammed Morsi won the last Egyptian presidential elections, the organization has come under increased scrutiny. Most people outside the Arab world do not know whom they are or what they stand for. Since the brotherhood came to power under the Freedom and Justice Party platform, tension has increased in Egyptian society. There is increased strife between Christians and Muslims. Christians are terrified and are emigrating in large numbers to the United States and Europe. Millions of Egyptians are beginning to believe that they are moving from an Islamic State to a Theocratic State. So who are…

Another Reason Why Nations And Empires Fall

Written by
Many hypotheses have been presented as to why nations and empires fall. While acknowledging the validity of those hypotheses, this paper added another hypothesis on why nations and empires fall. It says that people become secure in their delusion of worth and forget that their lives are at the mercy of other human beings. Out of the delusion of importance people do what hurts other human beings. At some point those they hurt become realistic about human nature and accept that people are existentially not different from animals and trees. Just as you can cut down animals and trees you…

The Bakassi Injustice

Written by
Secretary General Kofi Annan when he was in office, was the mediator, who also chaired what is now known as three party summit with the two countries' presidents on 15 November 2002, which established a commission to facilitate the peaceful implementation of the ICJ's judgement. A further summit was held on 31 January 2004. Even though these summits made significant progress, but since the summit left out the major stake holders, the people whose future and destiny will be forever affected by the summits outcome. The final resolution has created, huge problem because the Bakassi people will not have none…
Two interesting incidents that played out on the international scene recently clearly underlined the profound confusion of values that has crept into Western policies and attitudes towards President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe. Late in May, the United Nation’s World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) announced the choice of President Mugabe as a United Nations Ambassador for Tourism, despite the fact that the international travel ban and other sanctions imposed on him by the United States (US) and the European Union (EU) were yet to be lifted. He was warmly welcomed into the prestigious “leaders of tourism” group with his Zambian counterpart, Michael…
This essay says that human beings are aware of their finitude, the fact that they are born and must die (they actually start dying from the moment they are born).  Human beings do not want to die. They are afraid of death.  Their fear of death has ramifications on their behaviors. The essay explores some of those ramifications, especially conservative political ideologues’ emphasis on spending on national security at the expense of social spending. The essay says that whereas nation-states need to protect their people with military, police etc. that what gives human beings security is love. The essay may…
This paper points out that the reason why terrorists are able to exercise power and control over people, get them to do what they want them to do, is because people are born with a propensity to fearing death. As long as the individual is afraid of death and wants to live at all costs those willing to kill him will get him to do what they want him to do. Since most human beings are afraid of death it follows that terrorism as a phenomenon will always be part of human beings and their society. We live in the…
